Spring has arrived with it’s beautiful flowers, trees and nice green grass. If you have allergies, spring is not just a thing of beauty, it’s a threat to your health. If you enjoy exercising outside but the pollen takes you down, consider some of these tips. First of all, there is no way to completely avoid pollen. However, early morning and later evening tend to have lower pollen counts. Try to avoid outdoor exercise on really windy days. If your Doctor can recommend taking antihistamines, take them before you get active outside. If you suffer from asthma and have a rescue inhaler, always take it with you. As soon as you complete your outdoor workout, the next stop should be the shower. Wash that pollen away! If you are already suffering from bad allergies, just hit the gym.
